wow i dunno why i didn't read this already..

Good stuff for the crap weather we've had lately.. Again tho, i'll re ask marcus' question, what psi are you running in your tires? Obviously too low is bad but i know when i was in sprints we would run em flat :)

It did better at 37psi than it did at 31. With the track temps as cold as they were I dont take anything from that day as being an example of how I should try and set the car up for the next go around.

yeah i guess thats a good point, no matter how well you can set up a car nothing ruins it like a shitty day..

All in all tho, i look forward to seeing some fresh times from the next few passes.. Holler when its gonna be tracked again i'd like to come on through and see it..

That was on stock 76k mile engine. It has been refreshed since then with new pistons and rods. Im est around 450-475 on that setup.

thats better, are you going to keep the same turbo?
or upgrade along with injectors and stuff

a friend of mine has a similar setup, but his is all buschur stuff. stage 3 block and head, HTA 86 turbo, 1600's
it made 573whp on buschurs mustang dyno. been 10.30's on pump gas with 135-141mph
and on Q16 it makes 651whp on buschurs dyno. its been 9.90's at 141 and best mph of 147

just get a good tune in it.. and drive the shit out of it. i've got a video of it ill post up

the hta 86 35r is WAY different than my turbo. I just have the old style wheel and 63 hotside. not to mention no head work. I will not be anywhere near 135mph traps. btw the hta 86 cost 1100 more than I paid for my turbo if you are wondering just about cost differences alone.

Edit: That car is also on slicks with downgraded brakes...Another thing I will NOT be doing on my street car. Also assuming a standalone...Thats baller money in his setup. Mine is very mild in comparison. That car is moving esp for the shitty 60' on slicks. Ive done better than that with street tires on 18" wheels.

I think the very best my setup has to offer is a 10.5 and that will be very luck if I get that. My car doesnt have the proper safety equipment to run those times and I dont imagine I will be running that often at the track if I start getting into the 10's
